We are wrapping up the chapter, today we covered the Counter-Reformation and focused on what religion in Europe looked like after the Reformation movement. The map needs to be finished for home and students must bring their textbook to return on Monday, June 2, 2014.
Today we looked at how the Reformation spread to England with King Henry VIII. Students must complete the assignment below and may reference pgs. 432-434 in the text to help them.
Students are learning about John Calvin and Calvinism. We read pages 331-332 in the text and started working on a thinking map and paragraph. Students must finish both for homework.
Students are finishing up their argumentative paragraphs and will be turning them in at the end of class. They also are starting a Reformation Key Figure tree map, but it is not homework.
Today students are working on argumentative paragraphs on Martin Luther and the Reformation. We will complete the paragraphs in class on Tuesday.
Students are working on text-based questions for chapter 8-1. They read pages 423-426 in class and worked in partners to complete the questions. Tomorrow, they will use the questions to help address an argumentative prompt.
We have begun chapter 8 - the Reformation. Students started a worksheet on the beginnings of the Reformation and need to finish it and the left side assignment for homework. Please see the left side assignment below.
Today students worked on the chapter 8 vocabulary - Reformation, indulgence, denomination, and theology. Students need to complete the Frayer Model worksheet and either illustrate the definition or write an 8 sentence paragraph that properly uses on four vocab words.
Students continue to review for the quiz coming up on Monday. They are working on flashcards and should review over the weekend.
