We are devoting class today to peer review. Students will read each other's essays and complete a peer review form. The purpose of this activity is to help one another strengthen their writing through the process of peer review. By identifying the various components of an essay in another essay, students will be able to better construct this same element in their own essay.
Students are beginning their document analysis forms and will finish them in class on Monday. We will most likely be writing the final essay on Wednesday.
We are beginning our 3rd document based essay on the fall of Rome. This essay will be the chapter 1 assessment. Today we are going to be completing the hook exercise and reading and annotating the background essay. Tonight, student's must complete the background essay questions.
